there i was complaining to a friend of mine that i should worry about my car loan, credit card loan, student loan and etc...
and out of the blue, she said...
you've got it easy. i need to worry about my camera installment.
"you got a loan for your camera?"
"haha. you bought a camera by loan... you're dead."

The first transfusion of tribal and modern music with dance. The first world music festival brought over to West Malaysia from East Malaysia's Rainforest World Music Festival.
An event taking place on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday on 20th, 21st and 22nd in Tmn Botanical, Penang.
All three days, it rained. It rained moderately, enough to make you wet from head to toe but not enough to get you off the atmosphere in the arena.
I only participated on the last day, Sunday. but that one day was enough to convince me that the first two days should be good. maybe it was because of the company, maybe it was because of the rain... maybe it was because of the performers, I don't know... but it was wild and one of the most amusing things i've ever done. not to mention the dirtiest.
I reached there around 8 on a dark raining sunday. wasted a couple of bucks buying umbrellas from the viccinity. I couldn't even imagine how it could be good with the rain and all.
the ticket was 40 dollars and when i reached the arena, i thought it was gonna be the worst 40 dollars i've ever spent.
but my friend insisted we stay. she hollered over to the front and stayed there under the moon with the boring performers and the boring crowd.
i was with a couple of friends enjoying the stage from a far. one hand with an umbrella, the other trying to keep ourselves warm from the cold water pouring over our head.
but the next band from Africa proved to be good. the first thing that got my mood in was the fact that he said "Rain is a blessing, rain is good. We are blessed"
And I knew right there and then that I'm looking at the glass half empty.
A few others joined in the dirt and the water and started dancing.
I was dancing along with a dozen others before the end of the hour and half an hour later, my leg and shoes.. socks, were all soaked, soggy with mud.
It took me another half an hour to convince my friends that soaking your legs and jeans in the water is good fun. and another half an hour to convince another person that it's ok to be without an umbrella and dancing in the rain.
we were all soaked wet within the next hour and a couple of dozen more were ecstatic and dancing. too bad there were no alcohol at the venue. but the guy dancing there told me there are some black market beers, we just have to push the right button with the right password, which he told me... *-^
but i figured what the heck... i'm drunk enough anyway without the beer.
by the end of the day, we're all soaked wet and dirty.
but it was nice clean fun....
or u could call it dirty fun.
definitely a 9/10 if you're a dance freak and party freak. the rain just added the fun factor by another 10+.
however, if you're just in it to listen to the music, you might rate it with a 6/10.
if you're just there to see new stuff... fxck off.
p/s: couldn't camwhore cause it was freaking RAINING and DARK like hell. All my pictures turned out dark.
coming again to PNG next year. Don't forget it. Bring your raincoat and your party mood.
previous posts: here and here.
in the meantime, enjoy this advert i found on the net. as much as i love digi, gotta salute the person who came up with this video. haha.

sorry ppl, might be missing in action for a while. the work is taking a toll on me.
i'll keep u all updated on how my work is going as soon as i get some space to breathe in here. its really suffocating. a lot of things to learn, really.
also, i'll not be updating this weekend cause i'll be in KL and when i'm back on saturday night.. i'll head on over straight to World Music Festival in Botanical, TMN Quarry.
Then on with training the week after. With tuition and work this week, it is really taking a toll on my health.
hopefully, my life after training would be better.
well, a note though.. i'm pretty excited about meeting and liasing with new ppl. sure is a good way to widen my contacts.
love ya all.
(19.07.2007) p/s: Bon Odori is being held in Esplanade (Padang Kota Lama) on Saturday too... maybe i'll go to Bon Odori first on Sat and move on to the World Music Fest on Sunday. Depends on my mood largely. *-^

the walls are green and full of things i call art. the wall behind me is full of posters. a levis booklet stretched out to represent cool colourful cartoon characters. i love them. there's also my car note saying "if i promise to follow you... , will you keep me?". the vertical and horizontal posters from HK motorola that I absconded from GayVinz's house are locked in my drawer, i took it out a couple of weeks back. I figured, why put it up if i need to take it down.
the right of my wall are filled with office materials, passwords, tips, notes and company personnel phone numbers. I will miss the people and the work here.
beside my monitor lies my cpu and a printed lyric of Maroon 5's makes me wonder. I loved that song. and the lyrics are highlighted. sometimes i wonder that maybe i have too much time on my hands in this company. which might translate into a good or bad thing.
the left of my wall is littered with pictures and souvenirs. a group photo taken at sillySeng's house and a silhoutte of me in Tioman Island. There's also the batik cloth painting i bought from my last trip to Kuching.
Then there's the bighead souvenir from Cambodia, bookmark from my angel (found out she's my case manager, Elmi), elephant carving from India (from sweetSam) and the latest addition, a PUCA keychain from Pineapple village.
Somehow, I've become familiar with the green enclosure that is around me. The people around here are cool and good. Their silence is no longer a subtle dread but a refreshing change from the nights where i hang out.
as more and more people are entering this company, i regret my lack of chance to get to know them well and better. 3 months is a long time but it feels so short in here.
the pantry which have been a haven for gossips and hanging out, the training room which was the first place we familiarize ourselves with, the 9 or so people that was with me during the training have been the best of mates to me. i will definitely miss them, and i know they will... me.

first of all, there's the Gwen Stefani concert in Bukit Jalil which I am planning to go but the tickets are only sold in KL. This might mean I have to make a trip down to KL just to get the ultra expensive tickets. The entire process just irks me off. But still, it's GWEN. who could resist her?
More info at Axcess.
and then there's the World Music Festival at Botanical, Penang this 20th till 22nd of July. I'm definitely going to be there... the question is just... who wants a piece of the action too? Tixs are priced at RM40 a piece.
More info at Tourism Malaysia.
And then with my new job coming in and I'm basically not allowed to take any annual leave for 6 months... which totally sucks if you ask me. Who the fuck cares right? I'm turning my medical leave into my annual leave. :P

i'll be in KL until Sunday.
Be back on Monday.
Miss ya all!
I can't sleep yesterday. It took me a long time and I was wriggling in my bed all the while. The sound of the air conditioner creaking every 5 seconds is not the only reason but it did bug me.
I don't know why I can't sleep but I was definitely feeling very sleepy. I had yawns every now and then, even now when I'm writing this post.
I decided that since I can't sleep, I should take a book and read it again. It doesn't really matter if I've read it but I just want something to occupy my brain and make me less aware of the surrounding noise.
I took out my favourite book in the stack, I have a soft spot for Tony Parsons, they seem to be really good.
I yanked out my Man and Boy edition. It is still wrapped up, thanks to LittlePeng.
I read a couple of pages and remembered that I had a sucky 24th birthday.
This guy in the book had it worse than me.
He celebrated his 30th birthday by getting a quickie with his company secretary, getting dumped by his wife, almost losing his job, and losing his family.
After knowing that, I closed the book and slept soundly.
Thank god for screwed up lives. I know they weren't real... but now I know I haven't had it half as bad as some people out there.

Truthfully, Megan Fox was such a hottie in the movie that I just can't get my eyes off her. Enough about the robots and Megatron and Optimus Prime shit but Megan Fox ...wow!
The movie might appeal to some of the transformers die hard fans but then again, it might just irk them off. Cause Optimus have lips and Megatron looks ugly like a fucking cow.
However, the action and the mixture of jokes make it really entertaining and not too action oriented. Josh Dummel was a hottie in there too. A special treat for the ladies. :)
i'd give it a solid 8/10 for making my old time favourite, transformers in the big screen.
Now, urm... when's Thundercats?
I think Momo in Penang is becoming more of a gay bar. Never really noticed it until yesterday. I saw two fucking idiots with dark spectacles in the club. I mean, besides the fact that it is 2 in the morning, the club is frighteningly dark. I wonder how his parents cope with such mediocre brain on the arse human being.
My new office sucks. Yes, it sucks, I doubt I'll be looking forward to work when I begin my new venture into logistics.
